Mary Lee Sefried is one of the newest members of our staff. Her long time love of animals began as an equestrienne. Her passion for horses began at age four and continues today.
She has been involved in thoroughbred horse racing industry from training to breeding for over twenty five years. She was raised in Greenville, MS and Memphis, TN. Mary Lee is married to Bill Sefried, a CPA, whom she met while officiating at Louisiana Downs race track. They reside in Combine, TX on seven acres with their two horses, three cats and five dogs.
In 2005 Mary Lee answered a call to volunteer for the newly formed Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project providing low cost spay and neuter services. While serving there, Mary Lee met Dr. Jennifer Lavender the program's first surgical veterinarian.
Dr. Lavender's compassion for animals and willingness to share her knowledge inspired Mary Lee to join Dr. Lavender and Dr. Sarpong in their new practice.
